About the Builder

Eric Vogel, founder and owner of Vogel Builders, LLC, is a 1995 graduate of Texas A&M University. He began his residential construction career in1999 with one of the largest and most respected volume builders in Texas. As a project manager in Houston, he oversaw the construction of hundreds of single-family and town homes. His commitment to excellence in home building led to a position as Division President in Austin, which became a very successful new market under Eric’s leadership. In 2008, Eric decided to start his own company and get back to doing what he loved best: the hands-on aspect of construction. His knowledge and commitment to excellence has established him as a highly-respected member of the Texas building community and earned Vogel Builders recognition and awards for outstanding work at the local, statewide and national levels. Eric grew up in Central Texas. He lived and worked in the Austin-metro area for 17 years before relocating to the Texas Hill Country. He is also a licensed Texas Realtor.

HOME DESCRIPTION

We often hesitate to label a home as one specific style because some of the best and most unique things in our culture come from a fusion of multiple influences. If we had to give a style label for this Parade Home, we would likely call it Hill Country Transitional. Our first goal was to create a beautiful, refined-rustic home that would honor the classic Texas Hill Country style, but also feel fresh and updated with sleek, transitional design elements and materials. To achieve the rustic Texas vibe, we implemented wood accents (beams, wall paneling, ceiling treatments) on both the exterior and interior of the home. We also featured stone and brick wall accents in multiple spaces. The rustic look was transformed by merging it with transitional finishes: fashionable lighting and plumbing fixtures- predominantly in a champagne-gold finish, a modern plaster fireplace and vent hood, glass/metal shelving, contemporary wallpaper, etc. Our second goal was to evoke a feeling of serenity throughout the home. This was accomplished by bringing the outdoors to the interior, as well as using all natural and nature-inspired materials as finishes.

Abundant windows flood the home with natural light, folding glass doors create a seamless transition between the interior and exterior spaces, and the outdoor courtyard is a peaceful focal point opening to several rooms, keeping the inhabitants connected to nature even while indoors. Many of the finishes in the home are also 100% natural or nature-inspired. Luxurious natural stone (granite and dolomite) countertops; marble tile; real wood and stone accents; stone composite tub; wood, terra cotta and Terrazzo inspired tile; Japandi, seagrass and sand-inspired wallpaper, exterior water feature, etc. work together to create a serene, natural-feeling environment. Our third goal was one we strive for with every home we build: an exceptional family home with a layout that flows beautifully while delivering function, style, comfort and luxury living for all.

Features such as folding glass doors, double-sided fireplace, dressing area off the primary bath, closet connecting to the laundry room, dog wash station, home office opening to exterior courtyard, mother-in-law suite, huge game room with raised loft and sunken play area, courtyard with water feature, outdoor kitchen, pool with hot tub, etc. deliver an exceptional home for every member of the family.
